SITE DETAILS :


Majid's Residence is a 6-bed duplex residence designed aiming for single-family living on vacation. It could be used as a retreat resort villa for commercial purposes. The site location is Takterchala, Tangail, Bangladesh. The Land is very deep into a retreat place, half an hour's drive away from Dhaka-Mirzapur Highway. The size of the land is approx. 50 Acres. This area is surrounded by green forests, crop fields, and shallow lakes. Adjacent to the building there is a traditional single-storied Jamider house made by Mr. Majid's (client) father. That existing house is made with corrugated iron sheets with a beautiful plain green front lawn. That's house is surrounded by trees and forest. Our newly designed house will be built on that green forest part so that it could be surrounded by large big trees.

DESIGN REQUIREMENTS :


The basic requirement for the project was to have a double height large living space surrounded by green, water, a wooden deck, and landscapes. It will be the focus of the house. The bedrooms will have large terraces. The entry of the house will not focus from the front. But must have a direction of invitation to enter the house.

DESIGN:


After opening the main door the ground floor consists of a foyer and office room with a waiting space. Then there is a secondary door, After passing the secondary door you will reach the lobby from where will can get access to the large double-height formal living, and dining space and a stair to the first floor. From the dining space, you will get access to the guest bed, family living, entertainment room, and kitchen.

On the second floor, there are 5 bedrooms and a family living space. The rooftop consists of open space.

A modern & clean design approach was made to design the duplex.
